Hi Everybody

It has been a few days since I last posted. I hurt my pinky on my left hand at work. I ended up at hospital LOL !!! I managed to get a skelf under my nail and had to have it removed !!! YUK !!! Anyhooooooooooo has it stopped me making cards .... NO IT HAS NOT LOL !!

I have a few of custom orders to make for my dear friend NORMA !!! Every year she asks me to make her "FAMILY" cards and every year I try and come up with something completely different for her. This year I have stamped and coloured cards for the first time. I do hope she likes them. I always get so so nervous .. you never know if someone wont like a card. It has happened to me before. I would like to share the ones I have made so far.
Take care everyone !!!!

SNOW PEOPLE and TAGS

Happy Tuesday Everyone
Hi, it has been a few days since I last posted. I would like to share a card with you that I made the other day for a work colleague. Her parents love snowmen and she asked if I could do a card for her with snowmen. She also asked if I could make some Christmas tags. Oh I was worried about the tags .. have never made tags for anyone before.

Anway the stamped I used I purchased from Ebay last year, I am not sure of the name of the company that made it. I do remember that the stamp itself came from Jersey. I coloured in the snow people family with Prismacolour pencils which I totally LOVE. Actually I had to purchase these pencils from Ebay also and they came all the way from the United States as I could not locate any here in Scotland, well I could get smaller sets but I wanted the 120 ahhhh I won't tell you how much that cost.

The tags are made using my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities from Spellbinders ... I love using my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities. I really hope Santa brings me some more Cuttlebug items but I think Santa has other plans for me this year.

Take care everyone !!!

HEAVEN GOT ANOTHER ANGEL

Hi Everyone

While on my day off on Wednesday having just returned to the house from dropping my daughter off at school I thought I would have a coffee and a quick sit down before starting some laundry and a custom order for Christmas tags and a Christmas card. My phone went .. it was a very dear friend quite distraught .. she had just heard that another friend of hers had sadly passed away. This friend had suffered from different illnesses for many many years but was a very much loved daughter, sister and friend to her close family. Oh my heart went out to my friend and the family who had lost their daughter. I had met the family a few years ago at a wedding and they were such nice genuine people. I asked my friend if it would be okay if I could send a card, perhaps they may not remember me.

My friend thought it was a lovely idea, so I put Christmas aside and thought about making a card that was simple and elegant basically from someone they don't know very well. I wanted to share the card with you. The stamp I used comes from Penny Black. It is so hard I think to make a sympathy card, but it nice just to let the people know that you are thinking of them.

INTERNATIONAL SWAPS

Happy Saturday Everyone !!

Very recently, while surfing the internet (as you do) ... I ended up on Flickr. I knew some of my friends that I had met through Etsy used Flickr as another way of displaying either personal photographs or another free way of advertising and displaying what they make and sell.

I came across something that really caught my attention ... it was swapping groups. I thought this sounded very cool and exciting. I spoke to a friend who had joined a swap before and wanted to know how it had turned out for her. She thought it was a fantastic idea. Well that's it I thought, I must do this. I was lucky enough to join a group and only last week took part in my first swap. IT WAS FANTASTIC !!! and such fun. You get teamed up with a partner, probably from another country. I got teamed up with the most lovely and very talented lady in Florida, who as it turned out had Scottish origins ... You then share a list of things that you like and dislike and then privately you exchange addresses.

A very important part of our family is that our daughter sponsors an Orangutan at Monkey World in Dorset. It is an ape rescue sanctuary. In September of this year we were priviledged enough to make a trip there, what a wonderul experience that was. Anyway I advised my swap partner that we love Monkeys in our home, and she provided me with a list of things that she likes and dislikes.

I had a lot of fun shopping for some Scottish goodies for her and I know that my swap partner had a lovely time making the goodies that I received and I made a new friend. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hope to take part in another swap very soon. It is really great fun receiving presents the mail ... even for grown ups !!!!
Have a wonderful weekend !!

NEARLY THE WEEKEND !!!!

Hi Everyone !!

I thought today I would share with you two cards that I made very recently with co-ordinating boxes. Unfortunately the photos are not so great. I cannot take new photos as the cards have been passed on now. I am pleased to report that the cards with matching boxes were loved !! Phew .... I was very pleased about that. Anyway here are the boxes and cards ...

One card is an 18th Birthday and the other a 21st. I do hope that the brothers who are receiving the cards like them.

Bye for now !!
