I'VE BEEN TAGGED

Hi Everyone !!!

I've been tagged. I dont normally like joining in anything like this, but hey why not !!! Okay this is a photo of my daughter and I during 2005. I am not sure of the month but I think the reason my husband took the photo was because we both had lilac dressing-gowns on. Or he calls us "Me and Mini Me"

Hope everyone is having a great weekend !!!

NEW IMAGES ... LOADS OF TALENT !!!

Happy Monday Everyone !!

Ahhh the beginning of a new week ... and a new release from the wonderfully talented Victoria Case. New digital images for you to colour and create with. I swear by the time I am 44 I will have no money left LOL !!! every time I see any of her new images it just puts a smile on my face and I just have to BUY BUY BUY. Such a talented lady !!! Please take the time to visit www.victoriacasestamps.com, you will not be disappointed. If not for yourself it would make a wonderful present for either a child to colour in or perhaps a crafting friend. Here is a card I made from one of her new images "SHOP UNTIL YOU DROP". As usual with my photographs it really doesn't show the true effect of the card. This trendy happening chic actually has glittering screaming pink leggings on with a strip across her dress that matches the leggings.

Enjoy the rest of your Monday and happy creating !!!

ELVIS and TARTAN

Happy Saturday Everyone !!

It is my very dear friend Lynn's birthday today. She happens to love ELVIS. I thought I would try and give Elvis a Scottish theme just for something a bit different. I am delighted to say that when you actually see the card it looks great. But unfortunately as usual my photographs dont always do the card justice, and on this occasion it has happened. Lynn now has the card so I can't ask for it back now can I. LOL !!
I made the card by stamping an Elvis rubber stamp which I purchased at Viva Las Vegas Rubber Stamps using Stazeon ink onto some white shrink plastic (my favourite thing at the moment). I then shrunk him and stuck him onto three black squares that I made using a punch. The card itself measures 10.5cm x 21 cam (DL for those in the UK). It is from the Papermania range. I layered black cardstock onto the card and then added another layer of black, white and silver tartan card. I added a few stick on jewels for a bit of extra sparkle and of course added her name. HONESTLY in person the card looked really cool, even though I do say so myself.
Enjoy your weekend everyone !!!

I think it flies out of her shop at the end of the week before she releases ner new images, soooooo fly on over to www.victoriacaseartdesigns.com while it is still for sale.
I have decided I desparately need a new job !!! Except there is none, this credit crunch is very annoying !! So if there is anyone out there who would like to employ me to make their cards and pay me well .... please feel free.

THE DANGLING LITTLE GREEN MONSTER ....

Hi Everyone !!! And Happy SATURDAY to you all !!!

I wanted to share my other little creations with you. The fantastic stamp created by Victoria Case over at www.victoriacaseartdesigns.com. I love that little guy, you just want to give him a huge monster hug !!! unfortunately when he reached me I gave him a right good heating up and then shrunk him. At least he still has his teddy bears to hug. I also wanted to make a point that I stupdily forgot to mention in my last post yesterday. When stamping onto shrink plastic you MUST use a permanent quick drying ink like Stazeon otherwise the procedure won't work for you.

I should also mention that over at www.victoriacasestamps.blogspot.com there is some BLOG CANDY going !!! it looks a wonderful package to receive, if you are lucky enough !!!! While you are over there, see if you can give another MONSTER a good home !!!!

Happy Crafting Everyone !!!!!

IF ITS HOT ENOUGH - IT WILL SHRINK !!!!

YEY THE WEEKEND HAS FINALLY ARRIVED !!!

Can you HONESTLY believe that Christmas was only a couple of weeks ago !! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!

Anyway I have been racking my old brain trying to think of different ways of using rubber stamps. Over the festive season I have came up with a few ideas for projects, one being the t-shirt and the other was to try and make a pair of earings. It is something I have never EVER tried before and I was apprehensive about trying. Anyway I have decided to show you the end result. LOL this doesn't mean that I will be giving up my precious card making and becoming a jewellery maker, I just wanted to demonstrate that rubber stamping can be taken to another level.

I stamped the Girl's Rule rubber stamp from the Victoria Case range onto white shrink plastic. There is a rough side and a smooth side, I stamped on the rough side with my prismas. I then cut out the image leaving a small area round the image and left a larger area at the top and made a hole with my hole punch. I then shrunk the plastic. The plastic usually shrinks down to 7 times the actual size so even though the hole you made with your hole punch looks too big, it shrinks also hee hee it is totally cool to watch. I then attached the earring part (technical term) that goes through your ear, LOL well obviously you would have to have your ears pierced.
I have made a little monster pair of earrings but I will share them with you tomorrow.
HAPPY WEEKEND !!!!!

FATHER & DAUGHTER DAY OUT - MONDAY, 5th January 2009

Hi Everyone !!!

Loch Lomond

On Monday of this week while I went back to work for the first day after Christmas break, hubby took our 9 year old daughter out for the day to get some fresh air as we had all been rather lazy over the festive period. They went to Loch Lomond which is about a 20 minute drive from where we live. It turned out to be beautiful for them, although it was very cold, both slept well that night LOL !!! all that fresh air. I thought I would share some of the photos they took with you.

VICTORIA CASE - VALENTINE BUBBLES

Hi ....

Just wanted to share a card with you that I made using one of Victoria Case's just released valentine digital stamp images. Such a cute girl don't you think. The background cardstock is white and has been layered using pink glittered self adhensive thick paper, which doesn't show up unfortunately in the photo. I used my heart shape Sizzix and then 3d the cute girl which has been coloured with prismas. The little dog is an older stamp I believe from Magnolia, I think it is Edwin's dog.

All for now ... take care

LOVE, FRIENDSHIP & SISTERHOOD by VICTORIA CASE made into a T-Shirt

FIRST DAY BACK AT WORK !!!!

Hi Everyone

Okay when that alarm went off this morning I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER !!! I could so easily just have turned back over again ... back off into that happy place ... where it is always warm !!!! SLEEPY-TOWN, what made it worse was the fact that my hubby and daughter don't go back until tomorrow (Tuesday).

Never mind ... it wasn't all that bad !!! although it was freezing, ice everywhere and quite slippy while trying to walk LOL gets you there quicker I suppose !!!

Anyway I would like to share with you one of the projects that I have wanted to try out for some time now. Yesterday I went out and purchased a plain white t-shirt. I wanted to try the iron on transfer papers that you can use through your printer. I asked Victoria of www.victoriacaseartdesigns.com if I could use one of her digital stamp images for this particular project and told her what I wanted to try out. It is my gift to her for letting me use the image in the way that I wanted to, and also to show people that digital stamp images (with the permission of the artist of course) can be very versatile in their uses. I hope over the coming days to show you my different projects and ideas on the versatility of rubber stamps and the different ways in which they can be used.

Basically the way I made the T-shirt was I printed off the original image onto a piece of lighter-weight white cardstock. I then coloured it in and sprayed it with fixative. My hubby scanned it into the computer for me (something I really must learn to do), after it was scanned we than had to make it a back-to-front image so that when it printed off on the iron-on transfer paper it printed off the way it was originally drawn. I was so nervous, never having done anything like this before !! Anyway once that was finished it was then printed off onto the iron-on transfer paper and then ironed onto the t-shirt. It is not perfect but I am very ver pleased with this first attempt.

Happy Crafting everyone !!!!

VICTORIA CASE - DIGITAL TEDDY BEAR

Happy Sunday !!
Oh dear I need to go back to work tomorrow .. not looking forward to it at all. After two long and happy weeks of being with hubby and daughter and not having to go out if we didn't feel like it, which was wonderful!!! Gone are the late nights and long lie-ins in the morning !!! OH BAH HUMBUG ....

Today I would like to share a card with you from the Victoria Case range of Digital Stamps. It is the teddy bear with the balloon. For this particular card I took his balloon away from him (I did ask him first .. and he was okay with it)!! I printed him off twice and for the second image I used my graphics programe and made a mirror image of him, to give him a twin, that was why he didn't mind me taking away his balloon, we had a deal. I coloured them in identical with prismas and then I gave them both a little birthday banner to hold instead of their balloons. The banner is made from cardstock through my cuttlebug with nestabilities and two tooth-picks (in the UK we call them cocktail sticks I believe). I used black peel-offs for the "Happy Birthday". I then decorated the remainder of the card with one of my favourite things, stick on jewels !!!

I am about to embark on a couple of projects that I have never attempted before and I will be using products from the Victoria Case range of rubber stamps and digital stamp images. I am just keeping my fingers crossed and everything else that they work out as I intend them to look. WISH ME LUCK !!!! and watch this space. Just a quick note it may be the end of the week before I a chance to finish everything and get them posted in my blog, I have a few drafts saved so that I can post during the week.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend !!!!!

WORK IT GIRL !!!!

Hi Everyone !!!

Just popped in with another little card I made today using a digital image from Charmed Cards & Crafts (www.charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk). Her name is Dottie and she is having a work out!!!

I coloured her with my prismas and layered her onto paper that I got free in a craft magazine. I made a little tag for the card which says "work it .. work it.." and fixed it to the card with a brad. It means that the card will fit in the envelope and when someone receives it they card twist it round as shown in the top right hand photo.

I am not sure what music she is working out too!!!

AND THEY CALLED IT ..... PUPPY LOVE !!!!!

Happy Saturday EVERYONE !!!

My first post of 2009, WOW where do the years go, I would like to share a card with you today that I made using a digital download from www.charmedcards&crafts.co.uk, he is called Scruff and I think he is super cute.

The background paper I found in my stash which I am positive I bought a couple of years ago while on holiday in Las Vegas and it was purchased either in Michaels or Joann's, sorry but I cannot remember which store. I coloured Scruff with prismas. The ribbon I used was from a small package of new socks my daughter received at Christmas and I quickly grabbed it, I just knew it would come in handy at some point LOL !!! I have also decorated part of the ribbon with stick on jewels, just to add a bit of sparkle.

HAPPY DAY EVERYONE !!!
