An Itty Bitty - CANINE CANDLE

Good Morning EVERYONE !!!

I am sooo cold today ... just cannot heat up !!! Hubby is on holiday for the next three days using his last year's holiday ... he has promised he will not get in my way and that I have just to pretend that he is not there !!!! LOL we shall see how long that lasts hee hee

Tonight we have our first parents evening at Lucy's Grammar School.  I think it will be a mad mad dash round all the teachers.  I believe you are allocated 5 minutes per teacher and I think we have about 10 to see over a 2 hour period and its a big school AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!! but looking forward to it.

OK today I have a candle to share with you.  It is 3 inches in height this candle.  The image is from http://www.kraftinkimmie.com/ the Canine Capers release just before Christmas.  I am such a huge huge fan of Kraftin Kimmie.

I am in the process of working on some other candles ... watch this space.

WOOO HOOO MY FIRST EVER NOTEBOOK !!!

Hi Everyone !!!

Well the good news is I AM STILL UNEMPLOYED !!!! I have my first interview with the JobCentre at the end of this week !! See if I am entitled to anything .....

In between lunches, although I am cutting them right back .... I have been working on a few different projects but have as yet not managed to complete very much ... because I keep starting something else LOL !!!! I still cant believe my time goes so fast in the house than it does when you work.

Anyhoo one project I did manage to complete was my FIRST EVER NOTEBOOK !!! Was totally inspired a few months back with notebooks Pops had made and thought OH I NEED TO TRY THAT !!!! so I invested in a Bind-It-All Zutter machine (thingy - technical term) and here is the first result.  I quite really pleased with how it turned out.

The stamped image is from one of the Canine Capers stamp collection released by Kraftin Kimmie just before Christmas and was lukcy to pick both sets up in their Boxing Day sale. I am not usually a doggy person but I just fell in love with the whole set LOL !!!!

Hoping everyone is well !!! I have just realised I seem to be going through a red, white and blue phase at the moment LOL !!!!

Another busy week ahead of being unemployed and I think I am only doing lunch Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  Then I seriously need to get down to some serious crafting !!!!!

SUPERDUPER GIRL

Happy Saturday dear peeps !!!

Having a family chill day today and not really doing much at all ... which is fab !!! Have the piggies out (I call them my babies!!) running around and they are soooo funny !!! if they would stand still for long enough I could try and get a photo of them both ... they are coming along famously although Lila does not like being lifted or handled at all.  Roxie is coming round now it has taken ages. 

This card is made using one of Mo Manning's images called SuperDuper Girl.  I just love her.  The papers are from the new Papermania range called Portobello Road and the sentiment is computer generated by me.  The Union Jack buttons and ribbon are also from the Portobello Road range.

IT'S FRIDAY !!!!

Happy Friday Everyone !!!

...... seriously where did the week go???? I woke up on Monday .... did lunch a few days ... we actually most days ... got some cards made ... did some house work and now it's Friday ... I really don't remember my week going passed so quickly when I was running about mad doing everything and working and being sooooooooooooo stressed ...... I definitely know which kind of life I prefer LOL !!!!

Today I would like to share this card that I made and the image from Kraftin Kimmie which I think she is Snow White.  The sentiments are digital downloads from Crafts 4 You. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the paper I think is Basic Grey.

Have a wonderful crafty Friday and today .... yip you guessed doing lunch again ... well not so much lunch as coffee I sneak in my own sandwich .... well being unemployed I need to make cutbacks on something !!!!

A FAIRY HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Happy Tuesday everyone !!!!

OH MY I am blogging for the second day in a row LOL !!! long may it continue.  I really need to get into a routine of some sorts !!!

OK onto today's card this is an image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Teen Fairy Pia, isn't she just gorgeous and very easy to colour !!! The little wooden flowers I purchased from The Works just before Christmas and I have distress inked them.  The paper is from my stash and the green ribbon is from Ladybug Crafts Inc. 

Oh and the first photo was taken from my favourite place to take photos in the house !!! THE LOO SEAT !!!!

Had a lovely lunch yesterday .... and oh dear I am doing lunch again today LOL !!! and again on Friday !!!! but after that I need to knuckle down and get on with things that I have sort of planned in my head !!!

MY FIRST CARD FOR 2012

HEY EVERYONE !!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL !!!!  Hope everyone had a fantastic festive period and the weather was not too bad for you all.   We no longer have a garden fence !!!!

What I want to know is how did I manage to have time to work !!!! I am really really enjoying being unemployed and being a stay at home housewife/mum and doing the house work regularly and getting more into my crafting again !!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2012

Dear Blogging Friends !!!!

Have taken time out this week to spend some family time together, haven't really been around the computer much.  It is taking a bit of time to sink in that next week I will not be joining in the household going back to work.  It will be strange .... I am not sure that I made myself very clear in my last post ... I actually took voluntary redundancy.

OK enough of that .... what I want is to thank each and every one of you who leaves me such wonderful inspiring comments to my posts.  I adore reading them and feel blessed to have new friendships in my life.   I look forward to 2012 and the surprises it brings .. for the first time in my working career I truly do not know what is in front of me ... and although a bit scarey its kind of exciting too !!

I know I haven't been around much this last few weeks, and I apologise for that.  Alot has been going on in my life and a few decisions had to be made.  The upshot is as of yesterday for the first time in my life afer working for 30 years I am unemployed.  I had the chance to take redundancy and I did.  I was the only one who did LOL !! I feel very strange .. I have no idea what I will do ... and I find that quite exciting.  I do need to find a job and the only thing I know what to do is working as a legal secretary ... but I dont want to do that anymore !!!!

Anyhoo what I do want to do is wish all my dear blogging friends ...

Friends I have known for a while and my new ones ....

WHAT GOES ON IN THE LOCAL PARK ON A SUNDAY MORNING ... FOR CHARITY

Hi Everyone !!!!

Brrrrrr its freezing here in Paisley .... it has been snowing on and off heavily all day.  Here is a custom order for a neighbour .. she asked me to make a card that was to go to Canada .... I believe it is on its way.  She didn't ask me to take a photo of it on my toilet seat LOL !!!

 Some of the kids in Lucy's school and some teachers got together yesterday morning at 9.40am in our local park (Barshaw) to do a Santa run for the Accord Hospice to help raise funds.   Here is Lucy and her best friend Lisa in their santa outfits before the race.  They could not wear the trousers they were too big LOL !!!

CHRISTMAS CARDS

Hi Everyone !!!

Well what a day !!!! well what a few days .... what is this weather like !!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH

Had to get an emergency appointment at the vets tonight as noticed Roxie (my guinea pig) had some sort of skin condition and some of her fur was falling out on her back.  Never had Roxie or Lila at the vets before, but obviously had to get them checked out  Turns out they may have caught something from the hay for sawdust like a mite or something.  Got treatment for them both although Lila is fine it is Roxie who has it worst poor wee thing, but she seems fine.   Will keep you posted !!

Also have had no internet all day today, which was a big pain, but back to normal now.

Thought I would share two cards today.  The first card is a stamp from Crafters Companion and the second card is an old stamp from Victoria Case.

OK I think I need a coffee now after all that excitement of the last few hours LOL also my parents are about to arrive.  Take care everyone and thank you so much for popping in !!!

HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS !!!!

Hey Everyone !!!!

Can you believe it is only a month to Christmas !!!!! Oh Happy Saturday !!! The weather here today is ... as it has been the last few days is totally PANTS !!! heavy heavy rain and very high winds !!! just the kind of weather to make you stay in and craft !!!!

Anyhoo here is a card I made recently .. the stamp is from Crafters Companion, coloured with prisma pencils and blended with Zest It.  The star was the very first thing I cut with my Cricut, which I also treble embossed (which I will be having a proper play with after all custom candles and cards are finished) !! I cannot remember where the paper was from. The sentiment is from Crafts 4 You.

What brilliant tv viewing tonight !!!! So looking forward to sitting down with some munchies in front of the tv and just totally chilling with hubby and Lucy !!!

CANDLES TO LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE !!!

Hoping all is well with everyone !!! Just thought I would pop in with some of the candles I have been working on.  I am beginning to get to the point that if I see another candle !!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I am not able to show you all of them as some of them are photos and I don't have permission of them.  Anyhoo thought you would like to see some of these ones.

ALSO, ... some rather exciting news.  My friend has asked me to make her wedding invitations for next year OH MY I have never done anything like this before ... not sure where to start .... anyhoo I have accepted the challenge LOL !!!! it will get me away from candles I suppose.

LOTV - CUSTOM CARDS

Hey Everyone !!!

Hoping everyone is well !!!

Today I would like to share two custom cards that I made last week for my neighbour's grandchildren.  She was very pleased with them, which made me very happy, it was the first time I had made anything for her.

For both cards I used Lili of the Valley stamps.  HOW I LOVE THESE !!! The papers were just from my stash.  The wooden embellies were from Bunny Zoe.

Today is my last day at work and I have the rest of the week OFF !!!!! YIPEE

Will be extremely busy the rest of the as Lucy as three shows for Razzamatazz and I have about 20 candles to do ....... so watch this space LOL !!!

CUSTOM ORDER

Hi Everyone

Just arrived back from the club.  Feeling a little demoralised (and I shouldn't), but I do. After being asked to make all these cards some ladies didn't even get up out of their seats to look at them grrrrr !!!! Got a few candle orders so that is good. I shouldn't complain because anything sold is a bonus but I just feel I put so much effort into the cards because I was asked to make so many and then some people didn't even have the courtesy to look at them.  OK rant over LOL !!!

Today I would like to share this custom order that I made last week for Trish in work.  She asked me to make an 80th card for her Dad.  I always like to know a little something about the person when making a custom order.  Trish's Dad used to be a painter and decorator and now he likes making little movies with his video camera LOL !!! Here is what I came up with. The card is 8 inches square.

I was so pleased she loved the card !!!

HAVE A PURRRRRFECT CHRISTMAS

Good Morning dear Peeps !!!

Hoping everyone is well !!!! I have to say that this November is one of the busiest I think I have had in many years !!!! I have had various candle orders (22) at the moment and also some christmas cards.  I am not sure I have enough time in the day at the moment.

Tomorrow I am returning to the ladies afternoon club at our local cricket club to try and sell the various christmas cards that they asked me to make the last time I was there, so I have been trying to get some organised.  I think I have 20 cards in total.  Didn't want to go overboard in case they didn't sell.  I am also perhaps expecting more candle orders !!!

Anyhooo this is one of the cards I hope to sell tomorrow.  The image is from Karen's Doodles and I just love the expression on that kitty's face.  

OK need to get ready for work now !!!! BAH HUMBUG ........................................

MY GOODIES FROM SECC - GLASGOW

Hey Everyone !!!!!

Nearly the weekend ... where has this week gone, I don't know.  OK I thought I would share with you the goodies that I treated myself to last Saturday at the craft show at the SECC, Glasgow.  I had set myself a wee list before I left home ... guess what I did not get one single thing that was on my list LOL !!!! I had intended buying some coloured twine, ribbons, sticky pearls and perhaps a few LOTV stamps (oops I managed that).
