MORE !!!!! BRITANNIA

Hi Everyone !!!!

Again we are half way through another week. I have now asked Lucy to make a list for Christmas ... we have 3 items on the list .. so it is a start. I haven't had the question yet Mum is Santa for real??? But I know at the grand old age of 10 I doubt this year Santa will be real. We shall see.
As promised I would like to share more photos with you of our trip to the Royal Yacht Britannia, which incidentally for those who do not know (me being one of them) that during the Falklands war Britannia was actually used as a floating hospital.
Anyway the first photo is of Lucy sitting on the grand-staircase between the state dinning room and the drawing room, photos shown in my last post.

I mentioned that during the Falklands War that Britannia was used as a hospital. Well here is the sick bay where operations took place. Behind where I was standing when I took the photo were some beds.
This photo is where some of the officers would dine.

Believe it or not there is the HONEYMOON SUITE !!! This is where most of the Royals that used Britannia for their honeymoon slept. It is the only double bed on board Britannia and also where Prince Charles and Princess Diana slept. The actual room is behind thick glass panels. What struck me was it was really quite plain and not as luxurious as you may have imagined.

I hope you have enjoyed these photos as much as I have enjoyed sharing them with you. Okay I am off to do some colouring in. HAVE A GREAT WEDNESDAY !!!!

OUR TRIP TO ... THE ROYAL YACHT BRITANNIA

Hi Everyone !!!

Well we had a holiday weekend this weekend. Today we decide to take a trip to Leith near Edinburgh and visit the Royal Yacht Britannia ... something I have always wanted to do. I was not disappointed.

This first photo is the state dinning room. There are 56 places at this table and it took 3.5 hours to set those places. Each place setting was measured by a ruler making sure everything was precise and perfect. Some of the most powerful and influential people have sat at this dinning table with Her Majesty. Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, Nelson Mandela, Ghandi to name but a few. LOL I cannot remember any other names.

This is one of the small bars on board the yacht for the crew.

This is the Drawing Room where the royal family would retire to after dinner.

This is the front of the yacht before we boarded her. It was fascinating. I will post more photos in the coming days.

Thanks for coming on board !!!!! Oh I am sorry about that !!!!!
Take care

THINKING OF ALL YOU SICK PEOPLE !!!

Hi Everyone !!!

I apologise for not being around for a week now. The reason is I have been sick. Like so many people across the globe at the moment I have been struck down with this flu virus .. sure knocks the stuffing out of you. To all my friends that I have met through blogging or on PCP forums I apologise for not commenting on your wonderful creations this last week but I have spent more time lying flat on my back and feeling sorry for myself than looking around the blogs. I am sorry. I truly hope that everyone that has this horrible virus does not need to suffer it much longer and we can all be healthy again.

Unfortunately I have now been left with Labrynthitis which I have not had now for quite a few years. It is a horrible thing to suffer from and my heart goes out to people that do suffer from it. It is an infection of the inner ear and usually attaches itself to a virus AHHHH !! Its affects your balance and can make you feel very sick !!! So now instead of being in my bed with a red nose and coughing ... I am now dizzy and want to throw up .. such are the joys.

Anyways I had made this card a while back and I wanted to dedicate it all my friends out there in blog-land who are feeling under the weather and hoping that you all feel better soon.

HUGS TO EVERYONE !!!!

Love

HEIDI HI !!!

Happy Wednesday EVERYONE !!!

So everyone in our house has a sore throat and a cold YUK !!! Started off with our daughter last Thursday, then hubby got it and now it has been passed on to me which was inevitable really. One thing I hate more than anything is the cold !!! I have now been talking to friends and this whole sore throat and cold seems to be everywhere at the moment.

I still managed to create a card or two today on my WEDNESDAY, MUMMY DAY OFF !! Which I love ....

This is a digital image called HEIDI by Victoria Case .. such a talent she has don't you agree. Victoria has also just had a new release of digital images today so please be sure to check them out.

I have coloured HEIDI with primsas and copics. This is rather a large card 8 inches square. Needed a big card for the BIG PAIR of ...... BEER GLASSES .... dont know what you were all thinking about LOL !!!! The lettering at the bottom of the card is actually sticky rubber lettering from Papermania. The stripped paper is from Little Claire.

Thank you for taking the time to visit. I do appreciate your comments and love looking at everyone's blog. I am actually going to be spending some time tidying and updating my blog list.

TAKE CARE !!

NEW LILI OF THE VALLEY

Hi Everyone !!!

So its the start of another week. Hoping everyone had a wonderful weekend !!

I would like to share this card with you that I made using one of the newer stamps from a UK company called Lili of the Valley. They have got such a cute range of new rubber stamps and decoupage sheets. You cannot help but fall in love with them. Be sure to check out their website www.liliofthevalley.co.uk.

I have coloured this image with copics and prismas. I think the paper is from a Papermania Christmas pad but I am not 100%. I have also glittered up the angel wings and finished the card off with a piece of tartan ribbon and a brad.

Thank you for looking and take care !!
