TWO CUSTOM CARDS

Hi Everyone !!!

Thanks for stopping over !!!! I would like to share two cards with you today that I made for a woman in work. It is for her great-neice who is one. One card is from her and the other from Great-Grandmother !!! Oh I was nervous I have never made a "Great" anything before. I am pleased to say that both cards were very well received. PHEW !!!

I would also like to share with you that my 9 year old daughter FINALLY got one of her dance exam results in today. She got her BALLET result and only got the highest mark. She received the award of HIGHLY COMMENDED. Needless to say that her Dad and I are very proud of her. She still has 3 exam results to get and hopefully she will receive them this Saturday.

MY HUSBAND DOESN'T LIKE THIS CARD !!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone !!!!

Here is hoping everyone is having a good week, gosh we are half through another week already !! 10 months to Christmas LOL ...

Okay my husband DOESN'T LIKE this card AT ALL. He likes the image of the little rag doll boy and his clothes and the little drum and drum sticks .. but he says he hates the way I have put the card together and that nothing goes and doesn't know why the brads are there and the gold card that I put through my cuttlebug which is layered behind the little rag doll.

LOL don't me wrong he loves all my other cards ... he just really doesn't like this one !!! OKAY so perhaps it isn't the best card I have ever put together, but I really think HATE is a strong word to use on a harmless card .... never mind

NEW RELEASE OVER AT VICTORIA CASE- AND WOW

BIRTHDAY SHOPPING

Just a quick posting before take my daughter to dance class. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. This is a custom order I did the other day for a girl in work. It is for her sister's birthday and her sister loves SHOPPING !!! LOL who doesn't especially for crafting STUFF (technical term) :^)

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS !!!

Hi Everyone

Thank you for popping in. I do apologise for yesterday being all doom and gloom and a bit of a moan !!! I know that this is happening world wide just now people being laid off or having their hours cut. Thanks for the support.

I would like to share a card that I made for a work colleague. She wanted a christening card but not a religious one. I am pleased to say she was thrilled with the card. Phew !!!! The little blue teddy bears are from www.meiflower.co.uk, I think they also sell them in pink. The little blue pins I purchased on one of my many trips to Michaels with Victoria Case www.victoriacaseartdesigns.com and I little wooden tiles are from Lara's Crafts.

Hope everyone is having a great week ... not to worry nearly the weekend. I would like to thank everyone who responded to my post regarding swapping stamped images, I am delighted to report that images are being swapped.

WELL ... IT FINALLY HAPPENED

Hi Everyone

Sorry dont have a card to post either today, although I have made a couple.

For people who dont know me, I dont work on Wednesdays .. that is my Mummy day catching up on house work and making cards. Everyone knows that times are getting tougher for people, hours getting cut and people being made redundant from their jobs. Well in the office where I work it has finally happened. HOURS ARE BEING CUT ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we knew it was coming, but it doesn't make it any easier when it does happen. From 1st March hours have been cut as well as our attendance allowance which everyone gets every three months, it has all been suspended. I will apologise now to everyone if I dont buy as much from you as I usually do.

From now on it will have to be the toilet tissue winning over more rubber stamps or digi images.

VICTORIA CASE - NEW RELEASE

Happy Valentine's Day 2009 - EVERYONE

I thought I would pop in before taking my daughter to dance class for the last practice before the big exams tomorrow and share with you the new digital images released by www.victoriacaseartdesigns.com ONCE AGAIN Victoria has outdone herself and what a fantastic job the DT have done with the images they have been given. I HONESTLY could not pick a favourite.

I just wanted to share PATCH with you. I made image bigger and cut it into 4 sections after I had coloured it in with my copic and added a few embelishments.

Basically I have reached the stage of the month when it is half way between pay days. You crafters know what it's like, do you buy necessities such as toilet tissue or buy the other digital images or stamps that you MUST have. Hee hee I know what my answer is !!!! YIP you guessed DIGITAL IMAGES !!! wooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooo

OUR LITTLE BIT OF SNOW !!!

Hi Everyone !!!

Hoping everyone is well and enjoying their Monday. Well here in Scotland, well where I live anyway we really didn't have much snow. So tonight after we were home from work and had diner it was time for a short play in the back garden, build a snowman and have a snowball fight.

I am really quite proud of my "trendy" Mummy wellies !!!

DANCE DANCE DANCE

Happy Saturday Everyone !!!

I do hope that everyone is well and enjoying the weekend !!!

It is now my Saturday evening when I am typing this. Have just returned from my usual Saturday afternoon of sitting in the dance studio waiting for my daughter to finish her dance class. It is also the exam season again. Tomorrow is her first exam which is ballet. We attend the dance studio tomorrow night (Sunday) at 5.15pm for the exam to start at 5.45pm. Then next Sunday she has 3 exams all on the same day starting at 8.45am AHHHHHH of course she still has to attend her usual dance class on Saturday afternoon. Oh well what we do for our children, she does love it so, and even if I do say so myself, she is good.

Anyway enough of my little moans. I would like to share two cards with you today. A fairy card, the fairy stamp being from the extremely talented Victoria Case, seriously her online store is just soooooooooooo worth a visit and FREE SHIPPING until tomorrow !!! ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My other card was made using another favourite rubber stamping company of mine Rubber Romance. I have loads of their stamps now.

HORSING AROUND !!!

Hi Everyone

I thought I would pop in and share another card with you. This is a digital image from Victoria Case. This card is a lilac pearl aperture tri-fold card (what a mouthful). I printed off the horse image twice and coloured them with copics. I then covered the main image of the horse with a piece of clear acetate and then 3d the legs and flower and teeth of the horse on the outside of the card, just for a different effect. I then added some gold peel-offs just to finish the card with a blank insert inside for that personal message.

Oh nearly the weekend !!!! My daughter has her ballet dance exam this weekend on Sunday.

FEBRUARY - DOG IN A BAG

Hi Everyone !!!

OH BOY can you believe it is February already !!!!

I did realise it had been so long since I had posted. I like to share a card with you that I made today. I think the stamp came from Pink Cat Studio, I must have purchased some of these stamps a few years ago now and have never used them. Does that sound familiar to some of you.

I stamped the image on to quite heavy white cardstock and heat embossed it using black glittering embossing powder. I colored the images with copics. I have then put the images through my Cuttlebug using my nesties. I have dry embossed a piece of pink bazzill paper using the glitter girls romance embossing board, I think was the first board they ever brought out.

To make this card slightly different I have cut away about a quarter of the front of the card and put a plain white insert inside the card which you can see at the right-hand side. I have glued the left-hand side of the squares and it hangs over the cut away section of the card.

I know I speak for everyone that we are continuing to pray for the speedy recovery of Victoria's Mum. Take care !!!
